Joelle Atienza is an Austin-based artist whose work explores ideas of nostalgia, humor, and food while using a variety of mediums, including oil paint and graphite. Her inspiration comes mostly from her childhood, using early 2000s pop culture and stained glass paintings as references. Joelle was born in Gardner, MA, and moved to San Antonio, TX, as a child. She attends Texas State University in San Marcos, TX, where she will receive her BFA in Fine Arts in Fall 2025.
